I was given instructions by my chiropractor to take a rest this weekend, (or better yet for a week), and I think he was right since I've been chronically struggling with an aching back. (Thanks for the wise advice, Dr. J. !)
I don't know about you but when my docs tell me to take a rest, the first (brilliant) word that enters my mind is...
And so, since my hubby Steve agreed that it was high time I took a rest, as part of my spa m.o. I partook today in my creature comforts of reading my French Tea book, and enjoying the white hydrangeas my hubs brought home for me. (Thanks, my dear sweet man!)
I made homemade "healthy hot chocolate" using almond milk, raw cacao, honey, and organic peppermint. YUM. Healthy chocolate for the body and soul; what could be better?!
ah--sheer, pure, bliss!
Sweet Potato Brownies. Oh boy! More healthy low-sugar decadence! Into the "spa" they went with me and my healthy peppermint hot chocolate and we became fast friends.
To end my spa day, my hubby brought me fresh organic watermelon on my nightstand before we watched a movie together that transported us via T.V. to Paris, and he just offered to make me breakfast in the morning. (Love this man! And yes, I do nice things like this for him too.)
A fine RX, don't you think?!
Set up a decadent home-spa day for yourself!
